Moorlands (West Moors)

On this project we were asked to strip up and replace this garage flat roof system, upgrading it to a modern eco-friendly single ply membrane. After disconnecting and removing the existing solar panels, we stripped off the existing felt bitumen and plywood to reveal the roof joists. We then fitted new 18mm WPB plywood and adhered Alwitra single ply membrane. The perimeter had new aluminium trim profiles fitted for an aesthetic finish. Once the roof was complete, we fitted membrane coated solar bar profiles, fully welding them to the new roof coverings. The solar panels were then fitted onto these bars (keeping them from sitting on or penetrating the roof) and re-connected for the customer.
